Pacific Palisades

Nestled between Santa Monica to the south and Malibu to the north and bordered by the Santa Monica Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, Pacific Palisades is a residential community with several distinct neighborhoods built around a village of small businesses, restaurants and schools. This upscale family oriented neighborhood is quiet, safe, beautiful and offers many opportunities for outdoor recreation.

Points of Interest

  1. Farmer's Market
    Every Sunday Palisades residents bump shoulders in their search for the perfect fresh fruit and vegetables. The market also offers fresh flowers, eggs, fish and nuts and even textiles.

  2. Palisades Recreation Center
    Located near the village in the Huntington Palisades, the rec center provides a lighted baseball diamond, tennis courts, a children's playground and an indoor basketball court.

  3. Will Rogers State Historic Park and Polo Club
    Located east of the village, Will Rogers offers hiking, mountain biking trails and a polo green as well as Will Roger's original home and stables.

  4. Annual 4th or July Parade
    Every 4th of July the Chamber of Commerce sponsors day-long events which include a 5K and 10K Run, a parade down Sunset Boulevard and a fireworks display at Pali High football field.

  5. The Getty Villa
    Long thought to be part of Malibu, the Getty Villa actually resides in the Pacific Palisades. Set in a replica of an ancient villa, the world-class art collection specializes in antiquities.

Neighborhoods

  1. The Alphabet Streets
    North of village and Sunset Boulevard, these narrow streets are named alphabetically after Methodists Bishops.

  2. The Bluffs
    Located west along Sunset Boulevard, this neighborhood culminates in ocean view homes lining the bluffs overlooking the Pacific.

  3. Marquez Knolls
    Located farther west on Sunset Blvd. on a mountain slope, Marquez Knolls was originally developed in the 1950's and has many homes with amazing ocean views.

  4. The Riviera
    Surrounding the Riviera Country Club, these luxury homes line streets named after locations on the French and Italian Riviera.

  5. Palisades Highlands
    A development on the outskirts of the Pacific Palisades, near Malibu, this neighborhood features newer hillside homes.

  6. Rustic Canyon
    Located between the Riviera and the Huntington Palisades, Rustic Canyon lies in the canyon between Brentwood and the Palisades at the foot of Will Rogers State Park.

  7. The Village
    The village is a small central business district that acts as a hub for the community consisting of shops, restaurants, banks, and grocery stores.
